Savage Gulf State Park is a rugged natural area renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and diverse ecosystems. In this context, a gulf is a deep narrow ravine or gorge, with steep cliffs, waterfalls, and streams running along the bottom. In the state park, there are three gulfs: Savage, Big Creek and Collins, all interconnected with trails both along the bottoms and at the top of the cliffs. Four portals provide parking and allow easy access to trails. The only camping is backcountry.
