Canyon de Chelly (shay) is a stunning national monument in northeastern Arizona, featuring dramatic red rock formations and ancient cliff dwellings that showcase the rich history of the Navajo Nation. The canyon is home to a diverse ecosystem and offers breathtaking views, hiking trails, and opportunities to learn about the cultural significance of the area through guided tours led by Navajo guides. The gallery features a number of photographs from the White House Trail, the only trail to the bottom of the canyon that does not require a guide. Still, a scheduled Jeep tour with a guide is not to be missed.
